Statuario Norwell interprets the clarity and expressive movement of classic statuario marble in a refined large-format porcelain surface. A luminous white field is crossed by confident cool-gray ribbons, while finer branching lines add depth and natural variation. Broad quiet areas keep the composition bright and balanced, allowing the stronger movement to feel architectural rather than busy.

The generous 126 x 63 inch format allows Statuario Norwell's white field and long gray movement to read across broad installations with fewer visual interruptions, while the 12 mm profile supports clean architectural detailing. Coordinating Faces A and B provide natural variation for larger layouts. Review the actual faces before fabrication to plan vein direction, cuts and seams; they should not be assumed to form a mirrored bookmatch.

Statuario Norwell is stocked in both Polished and Silk finishes. Polished adds controlled reflection and emphasizes the crisp contrast of the gray ribbons, while Silk offers a smooth satin character with a softer, low-sheen appearance. Both options suit kitchen countertops and islands, full-height backsplashes, bathroom walls and vanities, shower surrounds, fireplace surrounds, feature walls and refined residential or commercial interiors.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between the Polished and Silk finishes?

The Polished finish has a reflective surface that brings out the color and veining more dramatically. The Silk finish offers a softer, lower-sheen appearance for a more understated look.

What are coordinating A and B faces?

Faces A and B are coordinating variations of the same design. They give designers and fabricators more flexibility when arranging the slabs and planning how the veining will flow across a larger installation.

Are the A and B faces bookmatched?

No. Coordinating A and B faces should not automatically be considered bookmatched. True bookmatched slabs are specifically produced as opposing faces designed to create a mirrored pattern. Always review the actual faces before planning a bookmatch installation.

Where can these porcelain slabs be used?

Large-format porcelain slabs can work beautifully for kitchen countertops, islands, backsplashes, bathroom vanities, shower walls, feature walls and other interior surface applications, provided the selected slab and installation method are appropriate for the application.

Can these porcelain slabs be used for flooring?

Flooring suitability should be confirmed for the specific slab thickness, finish and installation requirements before specifying the material. Not every large-format slab configuration should automatically be treated as suitable for a floor application.

What should be considered before fabrication and seam placement?

Review the actual slabs before cutting and plan vein direction, seams, cutouts, edges and adjoining pieces in advance. Careful dry layout and seam planning are particularly important when the design has strong directional veining.

How should I clean and care for the surface?

For routine care, remove loose debris and clean the surface with a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge and a cleaner suitable for porcelain. Avoid abrasive pads or products that could affect the factory finish, and follow the manufacturer's care recommendations for the specific surface.
