Calacatta Borghini captures the quiet drama of classic Italian marble in a refined large-format porcelain surface. Its soft white field is shaped by long, flowing ribbons of pale gray, greige and taupe, while restrained warm beige accents add definition without making the design feel yellow or ornate. Broad areas of calm balance the movement, giving the surface an elegant sense of scale.

The generous 126 x 63 inch format creates expansive installations with fewer visual interruptions, while the 12 mm profile supports a clean architectural expression. Coordinating A and B faces offer natural variation for larger layouts. Review both faces before fabrication to plan vein direction, cuts and seam locations; the supplied faces should not be assumed to form a mirrored bookmatch.

Calacatta Borghini is stocked in both Matt and Polished finishes. Matt softens the movement for a calm, tactile appearance, while Polished adds controlled reflection and visual depth. Suitable applications include kitchen countertops and islands, full-height backsplashes, bathroom walls and vanities, shower surrounds, fireplace surrounds, feature walls and sophisticated residential or commercial interiors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I choose the Matt or Polished finish for Calacatta Borghini?

Choose Matt for a softer, understated look with less reflection. Choose Polished when you want more light reflection and greater visual depth in the veining. The best choice depends on the room, lighting, and overall design.

What are the A and B faces of Calacatta Borghini?

The A and B faces provide coordinating variations of the Calacatta Borghini pattern. Having two faces gives fabricators and designers more flexibility when planning vein direction, seams, and the overall slab layout.

Are the A and B faces bookmatched?

No. The supplied A and B faces should not be assumed to create a mirrored bookmatch. A true bookmatch uses specifically designed opposing faces that mirror one another.

Where can Calacatta Borghini porcelain slabs be used?

Calacatta Borghini works well for kitchen countertops, islands, backsplashes, bathroom vanities, shower walls, feature walls, and other interior surface applications, subject to proper fabrication and installation.

What should be considered before fabricating Calacatta Borghini?

Review the actual slabs and both A/B faces before cutting. Plan the vein direction, cut locations, seams, edges, and adjoining pieces in advance so the finished installation has a natural visual flow. Large-format porcelain requires appropriate fabrication tools and handling techniques.

How should I clean and care for Calacatta Borghini?

For routine cleaning, use a soft cloth or non-abrasive sponge with warm water and a mild cleaner suitable for porcelain. Avoid abrasive pads and unnecessarily harsh chemicals, particularly when maintaining the appearance of the surface finish.
