Prefab Quartz Countertops in New Jersey: Sizes, Prices & How Installation Works
Prefab quartz countertops have been a popular choice on the West Coast for years. Now they are available in New Jersey. At our Wharton, NJ warehouse, Kaya Surfaces offers prefab quartz countertops, kitchen island tops and backsplash strips in standard sizes, pre-cut and polished and ready for your installer. This guide explains what prefab countertops are, which sizes are available, what they cost, and how installation works.
What is a prefab quartz countertop?
A prefab (prefabricated) quartz countertop is a piece of engineered quartz that has been cut to a standard size at the factory. Its exposed edges are finished and polished before it arrives. You do not buy a full slab. Instead, you buy only the pieces your kitchen, island or vanity needs.
The material is the same quartz used for custom countertops. What changes is how it is supplied: standard sizes, finished edges, and less work before installation.
Prefab countertop sizes
Every Kaya Surfaces prefab design comes in the same 12 sizes. All pieces are solid 1¼ in. (3 cm) quartz with eased, polished edges.
- Prefab kitchen countertops (26 in. deep): 96, 108, 110 and 120 in. long, finished on the front and both ends. They are sized for standard-depth kitchen cabinets.
- Prefab kitchen island tops (finished on all 4 sides): 96 × 36, 108 × 36, 108 × 42 and 108 × 52 in.
- Backsplash strips (4 in. high): 26, 96, 108 and 110 in. long, finished on the top and both ends.
Because the pieces are solid 3 cm, the finished edge is the full thickness of the stone. There is no glued, laminated edge strip like the ones used on thinner 2 cm prefab tops.
How much do prefab quartz countertops cost?
Prices are per piece. With current launch pricing, prefab countertops start from $866.67 for a 96 × 26 in. piece, and prefab island tops start from $1,200.00 for a 96 × 36 in. piece. You can see every size and price for both designs in one table on our prefab countertops page.
Available designs
- Calacatta Serena is a soft white quartz with delicate gray veining. It is light and calm, and it works with oak, white, gray or darker cabinets.
- Calacatta Armonia Gold is a white quartz with sweeping gray veins and fine gold accents. It adds warmth beside natural oak, warm white cabinetry and brass details.
Are prefab countertops really ready to install?
Prefab pieces arrive cut to size with finished edges, which saves much of the fabrication work. Some project-specific work is still needed on every prefab countertop. Your fabricator or installer trims the pieces to your layout, cuts the sink and cooktop openings, and fits any seams on site.
How to order prefab countertops in New Jersey
